Generali Announces Marco Sesana as Country Manager for Italy and Timothy Ryan as Group Chief Investment Officer

Assicurazioni Generali’s Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Marco Sesana as the Country Manager for Italy while keeping the position of CEO for Generali Italia. Mr Sesana has been a part of Generali since 2013 when he joined the company as the COO for Generali Italia. His new position will explore the next phase of Generali’s development focusing on innovation, stronger networks, and better customer experience.

The announcement of the Country Manager appointment also came with the appointment of Timothy Ryan as the company’s new Group Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Mr Ryan has an extensive experience in insurance and investment companies such as AX and AllianceBernstein. He will assume his CIO position starting January 9^th 2017.
