Q: Can you briefly describe your role at International Assistance Group (IAG) and how AA International Indonesia benefits from the recent Partnership with the group?

I have served on IAG’s Supervisory Board since 2010 and was elected Chairman at our meeting in Berlin in October of 2016. As a Core Partner in the IAG, AA International Indonesia has gained invaluable access to a high-quality international network. Our staff benefits from learning and sharing best practices with other IAG Partners from around the world.

Q: How are you handling the growing competition in the assistance market?

IAG is now in its 25th year. As a group, we are continuously focused on our network, on innovation, on cost efficacy, and on quality. We are calling this “our N-I-C-Q strategy”. We believe this is the right long-term strategy for our group and all of our members. This year we have already partnered with five new companies, and we believe that this is a good indication that we are on the right track. AA International Indonesia has fully embraced the same goals.

Q: How do you see the assistance industry developing in the next few years?

The world continues to get smaller. It is also becoming more transparent.

We believe that the assistance industry will continue to see more investment in innovative technologies that make it easier and more cost-effective for customers to seek assistance around the world.

Those companies that are investing in their people and that focuses on delivering true value to their customers will continue to grow. It is an exciting time to be in this industry.

Q: What can we expect from AAI Indonesia in the near future?

AA International Indonesia will celebrate its 10th anniversary at the end of this year. We have seen a lot of growth in the last few years. We moved to beautiful new offices in Jakarta last year where we now have several floors that are set up perfectly for our growing team. We hope to continue on the positive growth path that we have been on by gaining the confidence and trust of our Indonesian clients, while also increasing our focus internationally by working closely with our IAG Partners.
