Bupa Global and BCBSA Jointly Bring iPMI Products with Coverage and Price Tiers

Bupa Global and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) have launched a jointly-branded range of tiered international private medical insurance (iPMI) products in Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar.

The five products – Select, Premier, Elite, Ultimate and Major Medical – were developed after a 12-month research into international customer preferences.

Dean Pollard, general manager for Bupa Global Rest of World, said: “Customers told us they want a simple product, where the levels of coverage and price are tiered so it’s easy to choose the option they want or need, based on a clear and distinct range and scale, without the complication of add-ons.” 

Benefits include hospital and outpatient care, mental and holistic therapies, treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses, congenital, hereditary and chronic conditions, as well as health checks, evacuation, transplants and rehabilitation.

Bupa and BCBSA entered a partnership in 2014 to form, and provide customers access to, a greater network of healthcare providers worldwide.
