GoHealth Acquires Connected Benefits to Target Employers

GoHealth, a Chicago-based company that provides an online marketplace for private health insurance products, has acquired Connected Benefits, a provider of employee benefits management software.

The acquisition will enable its website, GoHealthInsurance.com to expand into group health insurance solutions, beyond its existing family and individual offerings.

Additionally, GoHealth introduced a new all-in-one technology platform for brokers to help employers pinpoint employee benefit levels, choose optional add-ons and implement them. They can also have an overview of available tax subsidies and their employer contributions.

“Employers are facing complex decisions when it comes to health care, so it’s the perfect time to deliver a seamless solution,” explained Clint Jones, CEO of GoHealth. “Employers with 50 or more employees are required to offer health coverage, and those with less than 50 are trying to figure out if or how they should offer coverage. The GoHealth Marketplace helps them decide between group and individual benefits and identify which plans to offer based on individual employee needs.”
